Established in 2020, Headwaters Christian Academy is a ministry of South River Baptist Church, located at 2659 S. Chipley Ford Rd in Statesville, North Carolina. The academy is dedicated to enriching the education of children by fostering a love for God and encouraging a joyful pursuit of His truth.

Mission and Philosophy

Headwaters Christian Academy provides a Christ-centered education that integrates a biblical worldview across all subjects. The academy emphasizes the development of moral character, foundational academic skills, logical analysis, and a comprehensive understanding of God's creation. Believing that all truth is God's truth, the school aims to train both the heart and mind, drawing from the Judeo-Christian faith and classical education principles.

Academic Programs

Serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade, Headwaters Christian Academy offers a classical Christian curriculum structured around the Trivium: Grammar (K–5th), Logic (6th–8th), and Rhetoric (9th–12th) stages. The curriculum includes core subjects such as grammar, math, and literature, complemented by enrichment activities in science, technology, art, music, and daily Bible instruction. The academy also provides after-school care for students in grades K–7.
